BMX BOWL BATTLE

DATE: Saturday 5 October
TIME: 10am - 3pm
LOCATION: Skate Bowl

The Groundswell BMX bowl battle will see BMX riders compete in the biggest skatepark bowl this side of the universe. Competitors can either choose to enter the RAD or the RADDEST classes to battle it out for their share of the prizes and $1000 prize money. Riders will have to make their way through qualifying rounds to make it to the battle finals. The importance of qualifying on top plays a key role in the battle finals. The lower placed qualifiers have to battle it out to make their way to the top to have a chance to take the win. In the battle finals if competitors are not staying on top of the competition they are dropped out until a winner triumphs. 

This is one action pack competition you don't want to miss. Will the Australian BMX freestyle champion Sam Grace return to claim the 1st place again. Be there to find out.

GROUNDSWELL RAIL JAM

TIME: 4pm - 7pm
LOCATION: Skate Park

SCHEDULE

  • 4pm  Animal BMX rail jam

  • 5pm  Grit / Core Scooter rail jam

  • 6pm  Modus bearings skateboard rail jam

BMX scooter and skateboard riders will compete against other riders in their discipline and their own determination by sending the best trick down or over the rail or stair at the Scarborough beach skatepark. This is a very technical competition that takes place in a very loose format over a 40 minute time frame. Each competitor will have the opportunity to throw down their best trick with the hopes that no one will beat it. It’s back and forth with the skills until there is one final winner, the one who will shut down the rail. Whatever your wheels are you will be able to get involved. Watch as Perth best riders send it down the rail with some crazy tricks. Who will be the first to shut down the rail with their set? This is something you want to be a part of either as a spectator or as a participant.
